Advertising and Solicitation

The rules applying to advertising and other solicitations generally restrict licensees from knowingly publishing real estate advertising containing any false statement or misrepresentation concerning real estate, a trade in real estate or the provision of real estate services. In addition, licensees are generally prohibited from publishing real estate advertising concerning real estate sales or other disposition unless the owner of the real estate, or an authorized agent of the owner, has consented to the advertising.

These provisions would include pamphlets, letters and electronic communications, and would also cover press releases about real estate deals and even references in letters to matters pertaining to properties.
