Fannie Mae

Fannie Mae is a Federal National Mortgage Association (FMNA). A government sponsored enterprise (GSE) created by Congress in 1938 that purchases mortgages from banks, trust companies, mortgages companies, savings and loan associations, and insurance companies to help distribute funds for home mortgages.
